Finished Red Oak Lamp
Red Oak Lamp
Using limited power and hand tools (jig saw, power drill, chisels), I opted to craft a lamp for my home.
The lamp's main body is crafted from red oak and sealed with shellac. The lampshade frame was designed and 3D printed at home, while the shade itself was completed by adhering fabric to clear vinyl sheeting. Wires were cut from an extension cord and soldered to a mechanical ON/OFF switch.
